The young people involved were able to draw on the many challenges they've faced in their short lives to create a powerful & moving song called "One World Family", with lyrics that demonstrated an insight & wisdom beyond the years of its writers.
With the Indian monsoon season approaching, the music team were confronted with the ultimate adventure of recording with multiple power outages. This did not dampen enthusiasm levels, which remained high as the workshop was relocated to a new venue at the Times Building on the Ashram where the children were eventually able to record their much-practised vocal parts.
By the morning of the 8th, the MusoMagic Team were ready to film some of the scenes for the clip to run alongside documentary footage from the previous day. Working the theme of "One World Family" the students choreographed their own dance moves, as well as filming a number of scenes for their video clip that depicted moments of unity & togetherness - two central themes of their song.
By the evening of the 8th the students of the band "Rock On Gurujii" were rehearsed & ready to perform at the evening Satsang.
A rousing rendition of the song was received with rapturous applause by the 3000 strong audience &, to the delight of the performers, almost all the AOL followers were on their feet dancing by the end of the song. It was a truly moving experience to witness the impact their song had on all who witnessed the performance.
